Pessimists do have a reason to exist in the world.
By hinting upon the potential risks and stumbling stones of whatever needs to be done in the world, they turn optimists into realists and achievers.
Thus: Pessimists serve a purpose!
I always listen to them.
But hardly ever follow their recommendations.
And Whenever I do, I wish I could claim: I never follow their recommendations. Because the times I follow, these, I fail.

For me this is an indicator to look out for the risks and secure open societies a better future this time. But it requires the joint separate and independent efforts of all conscientious citizens .
