Well as I see it there are 2 Christmas's. The one that celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ - for Christians; and the generic Santa Claus Christmas that celebrates love and peace for everyone. If you go to You Tube you can see videos about Christmas from many parts of the world. I guess because USA & EU send people everywhere the merchants have learned they can make some extra money by catching the spirit. Here in the USA they decided to start it at Halloween (October 31) because the economy had everyone gloomy.
Sad news is that North Pole, Alaska had to cut the Letters to Santa program because of budget cuts.
