Hi~
I am not quite sure what to do in this group, but am looking towards the future and exploring ways to launch an art business to sell my art along with the art of my membership on my new network.

I would love to start to travel more and to travel abroad, so I can find new things to paint and photograph to incorporate in my art.I used to participate in art shows but since I moved to the country, most of my work is virtual, online, which lacks in satisfaction.

So I am glad to be a member here if even as an observer for now. :)Ave

"I think in particular if we could get something going like centering on children and youth and or elderly lives with disabilities, with parent guides supportors being on a given trip to come to our event, it could present to be a great promotional advertising global connect for those also willing to make connect to air travel airlines as such. Though our event will be a first this year to say we have a sponsor who is willing to bring youth of the world at a discount price, find a hotel here to put up the youth as a package tour, then that would surely offer the globe of disabled live a real positive connect, a win-win for all... Wow, what a thought for lives to come : )"

Thanks again Tom. God Bless

Thank you Tom for this creative idea to get the attention of many traveler members.

Traveling have different motives and carries different meanings and feelings, it depends on the objective of traveling.

If traveling is for tourism, then we choose the most interesting country to us as individuals. Some people choose to travel to countries where there is culture, profound history and art. Others, choose countries where they want only, to relax on beaches and clean sands with sunshine, sea food with some cold beers wouldn’t hurt. Others love to explore different traditions, languages, foods and meet new peoples. Some travelers fly to have visits with their families whom they miss and have family reunion. To add to the list of travelers, Photographers travel, to collect interesting photographs whether, as professional or for their own enjoyment and for memories. Hollywood people, we know why they travel, certainly, not to filming me!

Personally, I love traveling to Europe where there is so much art, interesting culture and art history. As well, observe all the old buildings where people used to live, and how simple life was! Yet, they were close to one another and have more of oriented families. I learned that simplicity has been disappearing with the speed of technology as the true love and intimacy among people have disappeared as well.

Traveling can be educational, enjoyable and fascinating trip. For example, if you travel to Egypt and visit the Pyramids and the famous museums, you will, definitely, seek to go back. There is so much pleasure being in the Mediterranean sea and have a good swim in the salty waters and enjoy the sea food, good restaurants and have happy / romantic dance in a respectful formal atmosphere.

To USA, I have traveled as far as California, New York, Boston and other cities. Visiting there can be very interesting to see the other side of the world and get the feel of the high speed even in walking, driving and competition of almost everything. Claimed to be secure but I would not choose to live there.

Travelling to the Gulf countries, I have many good memories there. The generosity of people is outstanding and the friendly atmosphere, by no means you would miss it. The smell of the sea remains not only in my nose but deep in my memory. If you enjoy warm climate, beaches with soft sands and the fresh sea food, It is one of the best, unless you are not a sea food lover.

Visiting Lebanon, can be as well, very enjoyable trip. Driving up north and watch the breathtaking mountains during the sunset / sunrise and back to Beirut to see all the beautiful scenery and the famous Lebanese trees.

Of course, traveling can be costly, yet, is a great experience to expand our observation of many cultures and peoples. Widening out our perceptions to different cultures. is an expansion of the universal unity as a result of understanding the diversity of peoples.

There is always last minutes travel if you can afford to be ready whenever you are called by a travel agency!

Faites un bon voyage

when they close it, what will they do with the airport? make it into a historical museum or another establishment?
Michael Junghans Comment by Michael Junghans on October 26, 2008 at 5:56pm
As you maybe know, one of the biggest inner city airports of the world, the airport Tempelhof, Berlin, Germany will get closed to the end of the month.
If you are interested in booking the last flights, you are welcome to get information.
The history of this airport is very interesting. The Americans brought food into Berlin after the second world war during the "Blockade".
The aircraft JU 52 got famous in that time.

Future of Travel: I believe what will happen, is the overhaul of the current Galileo, Amadeus, Sabre and WorldSpan GDS systems and the revision of the entire global distribution process, things need to be streamlined and co-ordinated to provide the opportunity for the planet to survive our need to conquer it.

In light of the current economic crisis there is an increasing need to be wise and effective in the way the world moves forward, the current GDS systems can only go so far and do so much. Once full integration occurs across all global disitrbution platforms and grid-based global distribution takes place along with the advancement of technology, the world will enter an age of evolved travel in which anyone on the planet will have access to the minimum of a studying/working holiday within any domain they wish to visit, be it here on Earth or within the realm of space.

The Technology, People, Resources are there... along with the global economic and enviromental need to improve the overall situation on the planet. It is now only progress we await for!

Nothing Unconnected.
