Reducing distractions and keeping a safe distance from the vehicle in front would be an easy place to start. I think talking on phones in the car needs to be outlawed.

As informed above, This group is for trend watchers & futurologists, and for you interested in future visions. It concentrates on existing trends and future visions, how to spot and what to do with your findings!

Thanks Tom! Nice to be here! Very interesting as I was on my (run) updating tour could not simply help it but look around... something is cooking. It is in the air and not only here... We know what crisis are.

Something Big I would venture! Is it us the creative minds who are going to come up with something new? Well I think so if we look back to other eras especially from the Renaissance on, where science and art allied to put an end to the dark times of the absolutists to bring Light to Humanity and change happened more and more without the need of blood baths and so on...

It is up to us to contrary the pessimistic tendence of thinking that all that is happening is not another bad joke from Zeus to punish us.

Even tough Nature and all odds that seems to be playing against Humanity and make us (keep) looking back making sure no one lives the box open, if not the creative and thinking comunity who then? Everyone else is busy strugling with their day to day lives, repairing the ruins bad marriages weather politic religious and nature catastrophes have done to their dreams (lives)...

I think it is our duty! But how? There are so much (economical, logistical) barriers...

Hope was given to us when we were born - hope we must live to our children...

I posted this on another forum here of our wonderful Tom's SCIU Discussion Travel Boards. But i think that this is by far one of the most important and compelling reasons to have available For all ages of lives assuredly with profound disabilities. Just as needful IS the heart of citizens adults, who need to be connected in every way and for our lives, the barriers that now exist in many parts of the globe, still remain that of 'access and inclsion'. Here again is the point being made on another of Tom's Discussion Bards on SICU Travel.
I would genuinely like to see the hope of lives with disabiities and profoundly brought into the mainstream of every day life, including travel!

my earlier blurb:
"I think in particular if we could get something going like centering on children and youth and or elderly lives with disabilities, with parent guides supportors being on a given trip to come to our event, it could present to be a great promotional advertising global connect for those also willing to make connect to air travel airlines as such. So what does this have to do with me? I am looking for airline(s) willing to bring to and back to their homes, for our event this next May 24, 2009, profoundly disabled lives, various ages to our event, 'walk and roll for freedoms and rights'
It would be a positive way to show locally and globally how airlines could make a viable point of bringing our lives into the mainstream market for air travel.
Why has and does it take almost an act of Congress to make sure we become 'included' ? We need a win-win position, as human beings, as lives addressing our own disabled issues, but moreso a partnership in which we may gain entrance without feeling as second, or even third class ciizens. How about it, any airlines willing to join and help us offer lives who ordinarily would not be able to trvel, through a contest we might hold for a set seating availability of say variances of ages, disabilities, to be brought here for a weekend visit, hotel included, for a stay here in San Francisco, then wisked back to their cities, and homes of origin. I understand that no answers will come to you in life unless you 'ask'. I'm asking? : ) Tatiana - MHONA INTERNATIONAL
