Water is a limited natural resource and fundamental for life and health. In 2000, the World Health Organization estimate that of the world's 6 billion people, at least 1.1 billion lack access to safe drinking-water.

Genuine, crystal clear natures own springwater from Finland.

Water is the foundation of all life. A healthy diet should contain 2-3 litres of water daily. Despite the fact that 70 % of the earth's area is water there is a serious shortage of drinkable water in the world.

One of the most significant measurements of the standard of living is access to drinking water.

Pure drinking water can be found in nature or available water can be processed by different means using filters and chemicals in order to make water drinkable.

The major part of water consumed is made drinkable by using chemicals. It is important to know the origin and composition of the water that we drink.

Springwater rises naturally to ground level, filtered by layers of earth. The Kivistö spring is located on the Salpausselkä ridge, on the southern border of the Finnish lake district. The Salpausselkä ridge was formed during the last Ice Age more than 10 000 years ago.

Kivistö spring water is filtered by thick and clean layers of sand and moraining gravel. The spring water is pumped straight into bottles. Kivistö spring water is lead through a 0,2-micron filter into bottles thus preserving the taste of life itself.

Thanks for your comment, Albert!
As I don't have a slightest idea about what ho'oponopono's technique is all about, could you please explain it for us. Brgds. TOM

Ho'oponopono is a Hawaiian word defined in the Pukui and Elbert Hawaiian Dictionary as "Mental cleansing: family conferences in which relationships were set right through prayer, discussion, confession, repentance, and mutual restitution and forgiveness."

The term has been popularized as a form of family or personal therapy.

Some practitioners believe it is an ancient Hawaiian practice. To date, the earliest documentation of a practice called ho'oponopono is from Mary Kawena Pukui, who recorded her experiences and observations from her childhood (born 1895) in her 1958 book. (Handy & Pukui), as well as her scholarly study Nana i ke Kumu [volumes 1 and 2] with psychiatrist Dr. Haertig.

Pukui described it as a practice of extended family members meeting to try to "make right" broken family relations ("making right" is the literal translation of the Hawaiian term). Traditional ho’oponopono sessions include "prayer, discussion, confession, repentance, mutual restitution, and forgiveness." (Cody)

In the 1980s, Morrnah Simeona developed what she called an updated and streamlined version of ho'oponopono that is practiced by the individual alone and called Self I-Dentity Ho'oponopono. Her practice continues to be taught by her students in Hawai'i. According to Morrnah Simeona, ho'oponopono is a Hawaiian healing process based on the principles of total responsibility, taking responsibility for everyone's actions. She taught if one would take complete responsibility for one's life, then everything one would see, hear, taste, touch, or in any way experience is one's responsibility because it is in one's life. Total Responsibility advocates that everything exists as a projection from inside the human being. The problem isn't with our external reality, it is with ourselves and to change our reality, we would have to change ourselves.

Thank you very much for sharing this most interesting and important issue with us, Alberto! I really think that we have a lot to learn about our inner selves and about taking responsibility for everyone's action in any community of today. Great stuff!

Dear Tom
you're rising a very important issue here.
One reason I would think twice before relocating to live outside of Switzerland is its good drinking water quality right from the water tab in virtually any apartment or office environment. The water from the water tab has the same quality as the bottled mineral water if the pipelines are in proper conditions, because the water comes from alpine springs.
Kind regards
Michael

A very important and extremely serious issue, Tom!

In the third world, as a result of rapid, uncontrolled urbanisation and inadequate and decaying infrastructure, the problem has become acute in many instances. Inadequate sewage disposal is a contributory problem, resulting in the pollution of the underground water table - and then the streams, rivers, dams and lakes which are the prime sources of drinking water - and ultimately the sea.

It's very scary.

In many instances I fear we may be sitting on a ticking time-bomb.

Good, innovative, cost-effective and eco-friendly solutions are available, but will the powers-that-be be prepared to embrace them before it's too late? Or will it take the outbreak of a massive cholera or typhoid epedemic to make the fat-cat politicians realise that there are more presing priorities than all those flashy Mercs, BM's and Volvos?!

I am not worried. People will solve this problem when it becomes unbearable.
Human beings are problem solvers, and by this quality they differ from the rest of living creatures. This ability, (some call it – creativity; yes, creativity is needed to solve problems), make them the ultimate survivors.
I am not worried about the clime and overpopulation; green house effect, and an asteroid that mite hit the Earth.
I do worry about ongoing military conflicts all over the world. Will we be wise enough not to use the life destruction weapons we created?
