- Born 1967 in Munich, I lived in Tokyo, Japan, from 1989 through 2000. There I studied Japanese at the Yoshida Institute of Japanese Language, and after two years of intensive study I passed Level 1 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test. Right after that I passed the entrance examination for one of the most renowned universities of Japan and all of East Asia, the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. Together with Japanese as well as fellow students from all over Asia I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree 1998 in Japanese Linguistics & Cultural Anthropology. In October 2000 I returned to Germany.
